Katy Lucas (b.2003, UK) holds a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art: Painting & Drawing from the University of Northampton 2025. She begins her MFA in September.

Lucas explores the landscape through geology and caving, drawing from sound, haptic exploration, torchlight, trace, materiality and geological time. While the experience of being within the cave deeply influences her work, she is interested in embodying its material processes through painting and drawing. Through the exploration of natural and anthropogenic sites, she is developing a cross-disciplinary language through expanded definitions of painting, drawing, and digital translation.
