Geo-drawology

Lucas. K (2025) Geo-drawology | Charcoal, paint, PVA, Sawdust | 110cm(h) x 70cm(w) x 10cm(d)

Geo-drawology echoes geological processes as water is washed through a ‘substitute’ stratigraphy, eroding, and depositing charcoal traces. Though the surface echoes geological strata an cave-like depths, it’s entirely formed from paint. The work shifts from something geological to something synthetic, where materiality and material doubt coexist.
